Introducing New Leading Lady
Selena Royle first performs in Grand Rapids as William H. Wright’s Broadway Players new Leading Lady Monday 23 June 1924 in “Common Clay”.
Selena is the youngest daughter of playwright and actor, Edwin Milton Royle who toured with Edwin Booth near the later part of his career in the 1880s. Her mother Selena Fetter Royle was an acomplished actress herself making the circuit in the late 1800s.
