The Fealy School of Dramatic Expression, announces classes for children in diction, recitations and plays; 1926-1928. The school began accepting students in the Lyon House at 222 Fulton Street East, then moved to Margaret and Maude’s apartment at 126 Sheldon Avenue and finally to their home in late–1927 at 661 Cherry Street located about where Henry Avenue intersects Cherry Street in the Cherry Hill Historic neighborhood.

Lyon House – 220-222 East Fulton
 Street SE, Grand Rapids, Michigan in the Heritage Hill District. Gothic Revival. This charming stone cottage is one of the few surviving buildings constructed of Grand River limestone. It was built in 1845 by Truman Lyon, a Michigan State Senator in 1853-54.

In 1926 – 1927 Margaret and Maude Fealy rented rooms for The Fealy School of Dramatic Expression.

  1. Hi there, firstly let me say that I enjoyed your blog. My name’s Sean Fealy, I live in Edinburgh, Scotland. I was doing a bit of genealogical digging and came across Margaret and Maude Fealy, and was wondering if you could point me in the direction of more sources about them. I do have relatives in South Bend, IN so I think that this could lead me to some interesting family history. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
